A little update :
1) Attachment after 8 months is finally overrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
2) Looking for part time jobs, any lobangs pls introuduce :D
3) Working for F1 for the 3 days, catch me there as a road marshall!
yea thats pretty much about the updates.
I have got pretty much alot of stuff to blog about, first of all on the last day of attachment. I had a mixture of feelings, one part of me was pretty happy, the other half I was like pretty sad and bashed up about leaving the company. I know in my blog whenever I talk about work its been complains and more complains, but till the day came when I left the company, I realised there were alot of good times that I had in Clarksons. For instance the colleagues, just when I got a better chance to interact with my colleagues I had to come to an end in attachment. The work there was seemingly fun especially when doing ops and not being able to work sounds kind of depressing too.
O well! The happy part was that all the counting down to the last day of my work has finally come to a stop, I finally broke the bonds of being attached and obligated to wake up at 7am in the morning and finally a chance to stop forcing myself to get to bed as i have to drag myself to work the next day. I have got more free time on hand, can finally start heading to the gym, in which I did today ( will elaborate more later abit in the post ) .
Yep so now that attachment is over, I have decided to find a part time job to work. I guess working for 8 months has changed me abit, I dont like to be bumming around at home doing nothing now. I wna work do something earn some extra allowance, use the money to do the things i want to do , and get the things which I want to get.
But finding a part time job, is one hell of a killer task. Since Monday I have been travelling all around Singapore looking for various part time jobs, calling companies to see if they have got vacany. The good news is that I have got 3 confirmed jobs:
1) F1
2) British India
3) Station Kitchen
F1:
I got a job as a "buffer team" to make it sound easy, its a job as a second team in soccer. We get to work only if the main team doesnt turn up or decided to pull out of their job last minute. Everyday we report to work for 3 hours and get paid for it, within that three hours anybody that pulls out we get the job :D and for the first 2 days after our work we get a walk around pass for one hour to tour the f1. Here comes the best part on the third day we get a whole day walk around pass, meaning we can watch the F1 whooohooo!
Pay: $6/hr might go up to $8/hr if the F1 organisers agree to pay us that much
Workshift: THREE HOURS :D
British India:
Today they told me that my application is succesful and I can start work anytime I want. We are doing shift work and plus its full time so its like I got to work 6 times a week, with just one off day on the weekday! and one off day on the weekend in a month. The pay is average but hmmm I am still considering, the manager is a nice man he gives me till next wed to decide till then my place wld be reserve for me. O yes its at kallang leisure park AKA the ghost town. Hardly anybody frequents the mall there, due to its poor location and inaccesibility.
Pay: 1k/mth excluding deduction from CPF
Workshift: Varies around 6 hours shift a day
Location: Kallang, Leisure Park
Station Kitchen:
When for the interview yesterday and immediately clinch the job, the bad point is that its based on shifts, and there are another 25 part timers working there. And they cant schedule me a shift till the week after next, meaning I wld have no work for 2 weeks effetively. Working hours are all night shifts as they open at 6, cause their area is a nightclub area at st james power station area. So shifts are like 6pm-1am, 6pm - 6am, 6pm-4am.
Pay: 7/hr transport fees paid for if we work after 12am
Workshift: Varies on shifts provided
Location: Harbourfront
Summary:
For now I would put british india and station kitchen on hold, as I am still waiting for a few more jobs to call me back on regards to my application. Well I hope I get the topman job, as they might have a vacancy at Parkway which is convenient. They would get back to me next week! If not by then i gotta make a choice b/w British India and Station Kitchen.
arghhhhhhhhhhhhh.......
More interviews tml :(
